The purpose of the consultation is to identify new trends in technology and RD&I relevant for GOVSATCOM and consider them in analyses conducted within the ENTRUSTED project.
Consultations with technological & research stakeholders
Research conducted within the ENTRUSTED project aims at achieving a common understanding of governmental user needs for secure SatCom systems and creating a consolidated set of user requirements. These findings will be compared with information obtained from the analysis of the state-of-the-art technologies and new trends in secure SatCom systems and services suitable for governmental users in Europe. In the next step, a capability gap analysis will be carried out to indicate necessary research, development and innovation (RD&I) activities related to user SatCom technology and services that need to be made available within the EU supply chain in the coming years.
The ENTRUSTED Consortium is currently seeking feedback from industrial and commercial players in the European space sector regarding new trends in the field of secure and sustainable SatCom services. We are also interested in ongoing and planned RD&I activities that address such aspects as security, robustness, resilience, integrity, interoperability and EU strategic autonomy – in addition to typical challenges of SatCom.
We invite all interested technological and research stakeholders to share information on new technology trends and relevant research by filling-in the online survey.
Questionnaires are collected until 31 January 2022!
Please refer to the Questions & Answers section on the right for more details about the survey, or get in touch with us using the contact form below.

Questions & Answers
The consultation is addressed to any entity that is involved in research and technological development in the area of secure satellite communications.
The consultation process is based on an online survey, which can be accessed by clicking the action button on the left side of the page. The survey consists of closed- and open-ended questions. You can also add files by uploading them at the end of the survey.
All responses will be evaluated by the involved ENTRUSTED partners, and they will be taken into consideration in the analysis of future trends in secure SatCom, as well as in the definition of a R&I roadmap. The roadmap will be elaborated based on identified and prioritised research and innovation activities necessary to satisfy user needs and fill-in capability gaps
Information about the organisation represented by the respondent (including its name, size and profile) will be used for statistical purposes. A short summary on survey respondents will be included in relevant project reports and published on the website.
The first part of the survey includes questions which will provide general information about the respondent. We request you to answer all of them before moving to the second part of the survey, which focuses specifically on the subject of this consultation.
Each respondent can decide about which question to answer in the second part of the survey, as well as about the level of detail and the extent of his/her contribution. The only limitation is the maximum number of characters in a textbox under any open-end question.
You are invited to share any materials (e.g., a brochure, specifications, illustrations) or provide additional information on your activities which you consider relevant for GOVSATCOM.
There is a File Upload option at the end of the survey, which allows you to attach files to supplement survey responses.
Allowable file type: PDF
Maximum file size accepted – 30 MB
There is also the possibility to send additional information/materials directly by email to consultations@entrusted.eu
Contributions collected through this survey will not represent any national positions. All responses and additional information/materials provided to the Consortium will be analysed, processed and reported in an anonymised manner.
Please use the online form on the left to contact the Consortium and specify the subject of your inquiry by selecting it from a drop-down list. Â
