The ENTRUSTED Consortium has launched online consultations with the European satellite communication industry. A European-wide survey aimed at identifying user needs and use cases for future EU GOVSATCOM services will be carried out by EU Member States and EU agencies within the ENTRUSTED project. The survey is addressed to governmental and institutional users managing security-critical missions, operations and infrastructures. Information will be collected between April and June. Survey results will provide user requirements for EU GOVSATCOM.

A new research project, dedicated to the development of secure satellite communications for governmental users, will be launched on 15 September 2020. ENTRUSTED will be implemented by almost 20 institutions representing EU member states and EU agencies. With the budget close to EUR 3 million, allocated under Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, ENTRUSTED will deliver its expected results by February 2023.
