GOVSATCOM is shaped by end-users through widespread consultations. The ENTRUSTED Consortium invites governmental SatCom user communities and other interested stakeholders for the GOVSATCOM panel session. This interactive on-line event will take place on 2 December 2020 at the User Consultation Platform 2020.
The EU Space Programme is evolving and so are the needs and requirements of its user community. The 3rd edition of the User Consultation Platform (UCP) will take place on 1-2 December 2020, as part of the preparatory phase of the 2020 European Space Week. Organised by the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency (GSA), the UCP is a biennial event that brings together a wide range of users from 12 different market segments. It is open to user communities, industries, service providers and R&D agents, leveraging space for the creation of applications, businesses, and innovation.
This year, the governmental session is dedicated to GOVSATCOM. The session will be coordinated with the H2020 ENTRUSTED project, which aims to develop a consolidated set of GOVSATCOM user requirements for secure SatCom services, together with a long-term roadmap and the coordination plan for R&I activities related to user technologies. An important part of research work, undertaken by the ENTRUSTED Consortium and coordinated by SatCen, is focused on capturing current and unfolding governmental SatCom user needs and requirements.
As the UCP offers the opportunity to exchange user perspectives, the ENTRUSTED Consortium invites governmental SatCom user communities interested in the use of secure SatCom, and other stakeholders interested in the topic, to join the UPC GOVSATCOM panel session. Outcomes of the GOVSATCOM session will be presented at the EUSW Session on Secure Satellite Communications on 9 December 2020.
